Chalet Escapade, nestled in the heart of the Domaine des Cerfs, offers a unique experience combining unspoiled nature with high-end comfort. Set in a peaceful, private setting with no overlooking neighbours, it boasts breathtaking mountain views and a warm atmosphere perfect for family gatherings.
After a day of skiing or hiking, enjoy the comfort of a private chalet that blends authentic charm with modern amenities. Ideally located close to the ski slopes yet away from the hustle and bustle, it is the perfect base to explore the Pyrénées-Orientales in every season.
Chalet Escapade is in a great location, just 1.5km from the centre of the village, where you'll find all the shops and restaurants during your stay. The nearest ski lift, the Airelles cable car, is just 1.3km away.
If you'd rather not use your car, you can explore the region by taking the shuttle bus, which stops 200m from the chalet.
Font Romeu, the oldest ski resort in the Pyrenees, is close to the Spanish border, giving you an opportunity to explore both countries. It’s a popular year-round resort as well as being a meeting place for pilgrims, especially those heading to Santiago de Compostela.
About the property…
5-star Chalet Escapade is an elegant three-story log chalet, accommodating up to 10 guests - ideal for 6 adults and 4 children, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The ground floor has two double bedrooms and a bunk room for two children. These bedrooms share a walk-in shower room with two washbasins and a separate toilet.
The first floor is entirely open plan. There’s a comfortable seating area with an L-shaped sofa, television and wood-burning stove, as well as a fully equipped corner kitchen and a dining table. A selection of books and board games have been provided to help you while away the evenings. Glass doors open onto a sunny terrace, which wraps around two sides of Chalet Escapade.
The second floor is where you’ll find the elegant family suite, which has a king-size bed and two single beds as well as a dressing room, shower room and a separate toilet. It also has a private balcony, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains.
On the practical side, Chalet Escapade has a garage for one car and three additional parking spaces. There is also a laundry area with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
About the area…
The region is a paradise for winter sports fans! With over 40 slopes of varying difficulty, four ski schools, a snowpark, two toboggan runs as well as slalom and biathlon stadiums, there’s something for skiers of all levels in the Font-Romeu Pyrénées 2000 ski area. There’s even more to discover in the resort of Les Angles, just 20km away.
Just 15 minutes' drive from Font-Romeu, the Vallée d'Eyne showcases the flora and fauna of the Eastern Pyrenees. It's a fantastic summer playground for nature lovers, hikers and mountain bikers.
Other activities on offer in the Font-Romeu area include climbing, paragliding, caving, horse riding, canyoning and golf. The resort has been awarded the “Famille Plus” label for its programme of activities and facilities for children, making the area an excellent choice for families.
And when you’re ready to relax, head to the nearby thermal springs. Combined with the pure air of the Pyrenees, the therapeutic waters will take care of your body and your mind – the perfect way to wind down during your holiday in the Pyrenees with family or friends.

Chalet Escapade immediately charmed us with its wood-panelled interior and tasteful décor, creating a true haven of comfort.
This cosy property for up to 10 guests (six adults) has four bedrooms and two bathrooms over three floors.
Its bright, open-plan living area is the obvious place to get together during your stay. You'll love settling down with a book by the wood-burning stove, or planning the next day's activities with friends and family.
The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a pleasure, and you can eat together at the dining table or on the sunny terrace.
The chalet's bedrooms offer an ideal layout for families, with two double rooms, a cosy bunkroom for children and a family suite with a large double bed and two single beds on the upper floor. This suite also has a balcony, where you can enjoy a quiet moment admiring the views.
In winter, the chalet is located close to the ski slopes, and in summer it offers direct access to numerous hiking trails. You can easily explore the region by car, which can be parked in a covered garage as well as in several outdoor parking spaces.
A shuttle service is also available to reach the Airelles cable car, with a stop just 200 meters away. Chalet Escapade is the perfect place to experience the Pyrenees at their best, at any time of the year.

The view of the mountains enhances this feeling of total immersion. It's a place designed for getting together, breathing deeply and experiencing the mountains to the full.
